Chapter Eight
There Is No Easy Way Out
From the mirror of my truck, I could see Timothy strutting over to me. I had all my documents ready: driver license and insurance, sticking them out the window.
âThere isnât any need for those. I just want to congratulate you, getting back on the right track. Besides, I donât want to waste my short police career on minor traffic violations with you. Iâll let the other Barney Fifes do that for me. Iâm sure, sooner or later, Iâll get you on a big one, or not. Iâm not worried,â he was straight cold.
âSo, what do you want, Timothy?â I put my documents away.
âI told you, to congratulate you,â he was full of shit.
âDude, why do you hate me so much?â I continued to want to know.
âThatâs interesting, youâre measuring my hate. Does there need to be a reason, would that change anything?â Timothy was direct and without emotion.
âIn certain logic, the law of nature doesnât always apply with a reason, it just is. Iâm able to understand that, but you, I have a hard time believing it is a cause of nature,â sadly to say, the conversation began to intrigue me.
âAlbert-o, I donât have any tangible reason for hating you, itâs just what it is. Iâll be seeing you,â Timothy walked back to his car without any reason for stopping me. It was just what it was.
Timothy was all truth and hate. He was not much of a hypocrite. He stood by his hate and what he believed. I despised him, and believed people like he needed to be so far away with their own kind. This was when Charlie commented on how people should have stayed in their own autochthonous place and not invaded and mixed with others. His type should have stayed in from where they came. I knew it sounded insane, but I respected that truth of hate he did not hide, at least not with me. That honesty of his hate made him authentic. Charlie had discussed with me about inherited âhate genesâ some people may have against certain origins, races, colors of skin, body shapes and what have you? An act of nature, being mixed with certain, or original European Christianity belief of the Anglo Saxon race being superior and more intelligent to all others; therefore, their God giving them the justice and power to rule over those who they perceive/perceived as less intelligent and inferior; as well as over their land, for the ideology the superiors could utilize it better, due to their superiority and intelligence God bestows/ bestowed upon them, while also converting them into civilized, inferior Christians (Manifest Destiny Dogma). I thus far concluded that with Timothy, he was honest about me not ever given him any direct, malice psychological, physical reason for hating me, but the act of nature conceiving that hate from his own thought with superiority. One of Charlieâs conspiracy theories I was starting to see some light and logic.
I did not allow that brief moment with Timothy to ruin my evening.
